Core Component 4: Positive Behavioral Support
The following web resources provide extensive information about essential aspects of implementing and maintaining systemic approaches in multi-tiered systems of support that address school-wide behavioral issues.Two websites with extensive resources on Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) are presented first, and then websites focusing on single topics, such as restorative justice, are presented in the third section.
- PBS Web Resources from The Response to Intervention (RTI) Action Network
This website is dedicated to the effective implementation of RTI in school districts nationwide. National Center for Learning Disabilities.
- Implementing a Combined RTI/PBS Model Teacher Perceptions
Provides steps for implementation based on case studies. Includes a school climate survey form because teacher perceptions are often important.
- Integrating Academic and Behavior Supports Within an RTI Framework
Provides a three-part framework for the integration of academic and behavior supports for each tier of intervention in a RTI model so that teams can work smarter, not harder. (2010).
