Chair Baker called the Mathematics SMC meeting to order at 3:33 p.m. She stated that the purpose of the meeting was to make and approve minor edits to the Mathematics Evaluation Criteria. The discussion centered around three possible submissions: Basic, Intervention, and Algebra Readiness.
The other major discussion was regarding the three types of learning groups which are identified in the current framework; i.e. Benchmark, Strategic, and Intensive. After other minor edits and suggestions were made, Chair Baker asked staff to make the requested revisions and to continue the discussion on February 17, 2004. Chair Baker asked for public comment, and hearing none, adjourned the meeting at 5:52 p.m.
