Community Meeting Greenfield Union Elementary
CALIFORNIA STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION1430 N Street, Suite 5111
Sacramento, CA 95814
The State Board of Education (SBE) and the California Department of Education (CDE) are planning a community meeting to:
- Explain the process for selecting a State-appointed Trustee for the Greenfield Union Elementary School District
- Gather community recommendations for the Trustee’s qualities
- Receive community input for local priorities for the District
We encourage parents/guardians and other community members to address SBE President Ted Mitchell, Board Member David Lopez, and staff of SBE and CDE.
Thursday, April 15, 2010
Vista Verde Middle School
1199 Elm Avenue
Greenfield, CA 93927
The school is fully accessible to persons with disabilities. The District will provide Spanish-English translation services and child care services for parents at the school.
We anticipate that many members of the community will want to share their thoughts; therefore, we will limit speakers to two minutes. However, we would encourage community members to write down their comments and submit them at the community meeting or mail them directly to the State Board of Education office in Sacramento at the address indicated below.
We also expect that once a State-appointed Trustee is named for the Greenfield Union Elementary School District, that there will be continued community meetings. For additional information on this community meeting, or to have your name placed on a mailing list for future mailings, please contact Regina Wilson, Program Communications Analyst for the SBE at 916-319-0693 or e-mail her at email@example.com.
