& Online Viewing Option
Updated August 1, 2013
The State Board of Education (SBE) and California Department of Education (CDE) invite all interested stakeholders to come and share their input and ideas to inform implementation of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Sessions are scheduled (as shown below) in locations throughout the state. Staff from the SBE will be present at the primary locations with remote locations connected via video conference with an onsite facilitator to help direct comments between locations.
In addition to the in person sessions listed below, an online video stream of the August 12th session will be available. Parties interested in viewing this option may access the session at LCFF Input Sessions [http://www.k12hsn.org/conferencing/lcff/] . Please allow several minutes in advance of the start time to connect to the website for viewing the live stream. Those planning to view the web-based stream should test in advance to determine whether their computers or mobile devices are ready to accept the streamed content. You may perform this test by going to the link and choosing the appropriate option for the software you are using. If the test works, your device is up-to-date and ready for August 12th.
Sessions begin at 9:30 AM and end at or before noon at each location.
Please note that comments will be limited to two minutes. Persons wishing to make comments will sign-in at each site so comments can be grouped in the following areas: (1) LCFF Budget and Funding Use, (2) Local Control Accountability Plans, and (3) Transparency and Community Involvement.
