$419.8 million to be allocated based on prior-year CBEDS (California Based Educational Enrollment System) enrollment ($69.32 per pupil)

The Instructional Materials Funding Realignment Program (IMFRP) provides funding for instructional materials, kindergarten through grade twelve. For more information on IMFRP go to: IMFRP Information .

Proposition 20
Lottery Funds,
kindergarten through grade twelve

$22 per unit of Average Daily Attendance (ADA) estimated annual allocation for 2007-08 (up from est. $19 in 2006-07)

Proposition 20 provides that 50% of any growth in statewide lottery funds are allocated for the purchase of instructional materials. For more information on lottery funding go to: Lottery.

School Library Act funds are now included in the School and Library Improvement Block Grant. School Library Funding

Arts and Music Block Grant,

Budget Item 6110-265-0001

$109.8 million (approx. $16.50 per student)

The 2007-08 state Budget Act included ongoing funding for the Arts and Music Block Grant, which can be used for the purchase of instructional materials, among other things. Funding is allocated to sites unless the local governing board adopts a resolution specifying how funds are to be spent. For more information, go to: Arts and Music Block Grant
