The Careers Project is a study of the preparation that students in public middle and high schools receive to explore career options and the relationship between that preparation and California’s state and regional economies. The California Research Bureau (CRB) undertook this research at the request of a bipartisan group of members of the California Legislature, with funding support from the James Irvine Foundation. The study consists of five parts:
- The Careers Project: School Survey of Middle and High School Principals and Counselors in California
(PDF) - The Careers Project: An Economic Analysis of Ten Industry Clusters in California
(PDF) - The Careers Project: Survey of Representatives of Business and Industry in California
(PDF) - The Careers Project: Focus Group Perspectives on Provisions for Career Exploration and Development Opportunities at Selected Middle and High Schools
