Dear Publishers of Mathematics Instructional Materials for Kindergarten Through Grade Eight:

2007 MATHEMATICS PRIMARY ADOPTION:
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FINAL PRINT EDITION VERIFICATION PROCESS
(PUBLISHER BULLETIN 2008-26)

This bulletin includes information regarding when and where to ship adopted program materials for the verification review of final print editions. Previous bulletins (Publisher Bulletins 2007-23 and 2008-25) explained this final step in the adoption process and informed publishers that the exact date and location would be available at a later time.

Shipping Date and Location

Ship all review materials no later than Thursday, May 1, 2008, to the review location at the following address:

California Department of Education Warehouse
Attn: 2007 Math Adoption Verification Review
3740 Seaport Blvd, # 20
West Sacramento, CA 95691

What to Send (Reminder)

As a reminder, publishers will need to submit one set of the final print version of any program components, with changes, to the review location. Please DO NOT SEND components that do not include changes. Publishers will be requested to pick-up and remove any materials sent that do not include changes to be reviewed.

Publisher Bulletins 2007-23 and 2008-25 included a detailed list of items to include when you ship your review materials and specific instructions on how to highlight the changes. Please refer to those instructions before you ship your review materials.

As a reminder, the following list summarizes some of the information contained in the two previous bulletins:

  1. Include an inventory list of items shipped.
  2. Provide a detailed comprehensive listing of all changes (edits and corrections, legal and social compliance revisions and errata).
  3. Use color-coded “tabs” to mark the changed pages and also highlight the exact location of the change on the page.
  4. For electronic components, send screen shots and provide audio captions (if the change was to the audio portion of the component).
