Re: Reminder Providing Materials for Deliberations—Intervention Programs
(Publisher Bulletin: 2008-16)

IMAP/CRP Deliberations–Intervention Programs
Session II: July 28, 2008–July 31, 2008

This is a reminder to all publishers participating in the 2008 Reading/Language Arts–English-Language Development Primary Adoption that you are responsible for providing one complete set of program materials for the panel’s meeting room during deliberations. This information was shared at the Invitation To Submit Meeting in January, at the April training, and in Publisher Bulletin 2008-15. Panel members will use the materials as a reference as they conduct deliberations.

  • Do not bring reading kits.
  • Keep packaging to a minimum.
  • Bring a hard copy of your standards map. Also, if applicable, bring a copy of your optional evaluation criteria maps.
  • Use a copy of your submission list to inventory the materials you are bringing and leave it with the staff person in the room.

You will be able to set up your materials in a designated place in your panel’s assigned room between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008, the first day of deliberations for Session II.

If your program includes an electronic component, you will need to provide a computer with your program loaded on the hard drive. Be advised that publishers must work with the hotel to provide internet access for the deliberations room for the week, if that is necessary for reviewers to access the program. If you choose to ship or store materials at the hotel before deliberations, you must make arrangements with the hotel.

Information about panel and room assignments was provided to you in Publisher Bulletin 2008-15. A copy of this bulletin and the attachments can be found on-line at Reading/Language Arts - Publisher Bulletins. [http://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/rl/im]

All programs must be removed from the deliberations rooms no later than 5:00 PDT on the last day of deliberations, Thursday, July 31, 2008, for Session II.

Please confirm receipt of this email to Suzanne Rios at srios@cde.ca.gov no later than Wednesday, July 2, 2008.

Sincerely,
