2015-2016 Draft Science Framework Chapters

The Instructional Quality Commission approved the Draft Science Framework for California Public Schools for field review on June 20, 2016.
Second 60-Day Public Review Science Framework

The second 60-day public comment period for the draft CA Science Framework (June 2016 version) closed on August 29, 2016. All comments received during the second 60-day review period were submitted to the Instructional Quality Commission (IQC) for their consideration. The IQC reviewed the public comments at their meetings on September 22, 2016 and October 14, 2016 and forwarded their recommended changes to the State Board of Education (SBE) for consideration. On November 3, 2016, the SBE adopted the CA Science Framework with IQC recommended edits. We anticipate a prepublication version of the CA Science Framework to be posted in early January 2017 and the publication version of the CA Science Framework to be available by July 2017
