If the CBEDS-ORA is not working the way you expect, please check this page to see if the problem you are experiencing has been reported. If the problem you are experiencing is not described on this page, please contact the CALPADS/CBEDS/CDS Operations Office for assistance; otherwise, follow the workaround instructions outlined below.
| # | Description of Problem | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | The information on the screen appears stacked or overlapping, preventing you from accessing or viewing some of the information. | CBEDS-ORA was developed to be accessible in screen resolutions of 1024 by 768 or 800 by 600. Other resolutions may work, but if you are having display problems as described here, you will need to adjust your screen resolution to one of the sizes listed here. If adjusting your screen resolution does not resolve the problem, you may also need to adjust your browser text size. |
| 2 | When attempting to log in to CBEDS-ORA using the Firefox browser, you get an invalid user name or password message and you are sure you entered your login information correctly. | There appears to be a caching problem in Firefox, which sometimes prevents login. Either close your browser or navigate to another Web page and then navigate back to the login page (without clicking the back button). This should clear the cache and allow you to log in. You could also try using another browser. |
| 3 | The CBEDS-ORA screens are not showing the report or screen you think it should. Example: If you viewed a report or edit screen for one school and then try to pull up the same report or screen for another school, the first school shows up. | Sometimes the Web browser will cache a report or screen and bring up a page you recently viewed, rather than the page you are requesting. When this occurs, either click the browser's refresh button, or log out of CBEDS-ORA and log back in. |
| 4 | The import results "Format Checker" report does not print out when using the Firefox browser. | We are unable to fix this browser printing issue. We suggest you use a different browser, or take a screen shot of the page and copy it into a program, like Microsoft Word, and then print it. |
| 5 | When printing some reports in the Firefox browser, the page footer may print in the middle of the report rather than at the bottom. | We are unable to fix this browser printing issue. We suggest you use a different browser, or take a screen shot of the page and copy it into a program, like Microsoft Word, and then print it. |
