Subject: CALPADS Update FLASH #52
A CALPADS update is being deployed over the weekend of February 4 - 5, and will be in production on Monday, February 6, 2012. CALPADS will be unavailable from Friday, February 3 at 6 p.m. until Monday, February 6 at 6 a.m. to accommodate this release. The release may be completed as early as Saturday, in which case the system will reopen early. The changes included in this release will be specified in a draft of Release Update v1.1.51, which will be available on the Release Updates link on the CALPADS Web page on Friday, February 3, 2012. A listserv message will be sent when the draft release has been posted.
This release will include both fixes to several defects and changes to the system. You may preview the defects that will be addressed in this release by viewing the current Known Issues v1.2.07 posted on the Known Issues link on the CALPADS Web page and reviewing the defects with a Target Release Date of February 4. In addition to defect fixes, a number of changes will be made. These changes will be documented in the Release Updates v1.1.51, as described above. Two of the changes are highlighted below.
Increase SSID Match Score from 88 to 90. To minimize the number of false positives returned during the SSID request process the minimum match score has been increased from 88 to 90. This means there are likely to be fewer candidates returned with the “Multi” disposition. It should be noted that occasionally users may encounter situations where an expected match is not returned because the uploaded demographics are so different from the data on file that the candidate falls below the 90 threshold. In those instances use the Online Maintenance “Search For Student” function to look for the student or contact the prior school of enrollment to obtain the SSID.
