CALPADS Maintenance Release

There will be a CALPADS maintenance release this Saturday, October 13, 2012 and updates will be in production on Monday, October 15, 2012. CALPADS will be unavailable from Friday, October 12 at 6 p.m. until Monday, October 15 at 6 a.m. to accommodate this release. The defect fixes and changes included in this release will be specified in a Release Update, which will be available on the Release Updates link on the CDE CALPADS Web page on Monday, October 15, 2012. A listserv message will be sent when the release update has been posted on the CALPADS Web page. Please refer to CALPADS Update Flash #64 for the highlights of the changes in this release (including the new reports incorporating program codes, 181 – Free Meal Program and 182 – Reduced-Price Meal Program).

Assessments and Accountability Functionality Update

The Assessments and Accountability Functionality will not be included in this release. The CDE is awaiting the CALPADS vendor to address certain identified issues and complete functionality requested by LEAs (student level extracts). The release of this functionality is projected for November. Please note, however, that the Assessment roles are currently viewable in CALPADS to LEA Administrators. While the Assessment roles are available to be assigned by LEA Administrators, the Assessment functionality is not yet available in the CALPADS production environment for use.

2011–12 Free and Reduced-Price Meal (FRPM) Data

The 2011–12 National School Lunch Program (NSLP) data certified in CALPADS by September 24, 2012, which are used for FRPM determination for non-Provision 2 and 3 schools, have been loaded in the Consolidated Application Reporting System (CARS) for non-Provision 2 and 3 schools.

The CALPADS 2011–2012 submission window closed on September 24, 2012. Changes to the CALPADS 2011–2012 certified snapshot data are no longer possible.
