Dear County and District Superintendents and Charter School Administrators:

2013–14 California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System Fall 1 Late Correction Window

Due to the critical importance of the Fall 1 submission this year, especially the data that feed into the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), the California Department of Education (CDE) is providing all local educational agencies (LEAs) the opportunity to request additional time during a late correction window. The late correction window will follow the close of the Fall 1 amendment window, which was recently extended to February 14, 2014, and will end on March 21, 2014.

Between February 14 and March 21 LEAs (including those with Provision 2 or 3 schools) that opt to use the late correction window must submit a service request to the CALPADS Service Desk in order for the snapshot reports to be enabled. In the service request, please indicate why additional time is needed, and provide an estimate for when the LEA plans to recertify. LEAs that have already submitted an extension request do not need to send in another. LEAs must recertify their Fall 1 submission no later than March 21, 2014.

If you have any questions regarding CALPADS, please contact the CALPADS Service Desk. The preferred method for reaching the service desk is through the Web form in CALPADS, or at http://www2.cde.ca.gov/CALPADSHELP/DEFAULT.ASPX, or through e-mail at calpads-support@cde.ca.gov. The service desk may also be reached by phone at 916-325-9210.

Sincerely,

/s/
