Assignment Code and Assignment Code Name File from the California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS) Professional Assignment Information Form (PAIF).

File Name: ASGNCODE.DBF

This file contains the assignment code and assignment code name for each teaching assignment, administrative assignment, and pupil service assignment used in the Administrative Manual for CBEDS Coordinators and School Principals. This file is used to reference and match assignment codes to the PAIF ASSIGNnn.DBF file. This file can be used for any of the ASSIGNnn.DBF files (any year) posted on the CBEDS PAIF downloadable page. Prior years of the ASSIGNnn.DBF file may contain assignment codes that are no longer in use and may not be in the ASGNCODE.DBF file.

Note: A staff person may have more than one assignment.
