This 14-digit code is the official, unique identification of a school within California. The first two digits identify the county, the next five digits identify the school district, and the last seven digits identify the school. |

This 6-digit code is the unique record identification code assigned to each certificated staff member in California public schools. The code is an identifier with no meaning. The code assigned to a record for any particular year will not match the code assigned to the same staff members' record for prior or future years. Therefore, the code cannot be used to match records over time. |
