June 15, 2007
Dear Select County Superintendents of Schools, Auditors, and Treasurers:
This apportionment, in the amount of $29,533, is made from funds provided by Item 6110-128-0001 of the Budget Act of 2004 (Chapter 208, Statutes of 2004) in support of the Economic Impact Aid (EIA) Program (EIA). These funds are to be expended pursuant to California Education Code sections 54000 through 54041, as they read on January 1, 2006, to serve and assist English learners and economically disadvantaged pupils. This apportionment pays select district wide charter school districts based on corrected pupil counts used in the 2004-05 funding calculations.
Warrants will be mailed to county treasurers approximately four weeks from the date of this Notice. For standardized account code structure coding, use Resource Code 7090, Economic Impact Aid (EIA); or Resource Code 7091, Economic Impact Aid (EIA) English Learner or Limited English Proficient; and Revenue Object Code 8319, Other State Apportionments-Prior Years. County superintendents of schools are requested to inform local educational agencies immediately of this apportionment.
In an effort to streamline the state apportionment process, we will continue to post the schedules of apportionment on the California Department of Education Web site but eliminate them from our mailings.
