Guidance: EIA Ranking Decisions and School Funding2013-14 Consolidated Application guidance for Economic Impact Aid (EIA) Ranking Decisions and School Funding Plan.
The following information is specific to County Offices of Education (COEs) that operate active Juvenile Court Schools (JCSs).
Legislation in 2010 added Section 54021 to the California Education Code (EC) (Assembly Bill 1610, Chapter 724, Statutes of 2010). This allows COEs that operate JCSs to participate in the EIA program beginning in fiscal year 2010–11.
The COE must provide demographic data for all schools.
EIA funding for COE operated JCSs in 2013–14 will be based on:
- the schools' spring 2013 English Learner (EL) population counts;
- adjusted Free Meal eligibility counts from October 2012;
- a Weighted Concentration Factor (EC Section 54024).
