Instructions: Title I Part D Academic Performance

Consolidated Application, Spring Release program instructions for the 2012-13 Title I, Part D, Academic Performance.
Data Collection Purpose

To report the academic performance of Long Term (LT) students served with Title I, Part D funds. This data collection will only be available for local educational agencies that participate in Title I, Part D.


Guidance

LT students are those who have been enrolled in a program for more than 90 consecutive calendar days. Multiple admissions cannot be added together.

At Risk Programs

The At-Risk Programs Total Students Served will be calculated and displayed by the Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS).

Procedures
Step Action Program Instructions
1 Report the total number of LT At-Risk students served. Enter the number of LT students enrolled in At-Risk programs.
2 Report the number of LT students who completed reading pre- and post-test exams. Error Message: The number of At-Risk LT students who have completed Reading pre- and post-test exams cannot be greater than the total number of At-Risk LT students.

Resolution: The number of LT students who have completed pre- and post-test exams must be a number less than or equal to the number of At-Risk LT students.

3 Report the number of LT students who tested below grade level upon entry in reading. Error Message: The number of At-Risk programs LT students who have tested below grade level upon entry must be a number less than or equal to the total number of At-Risk LT students.

Resolution: The number of LT students who have tested below grade level upon entry must be a number less than or equal to the number of At-Risk LT students.

4 Report the number of LT students with negative grade level change from the pre- to post-test exams in reading. Enter the number of LT students in At-Risk programs, as applicable.
5 Report the number of LT students with no change in grade level from the pre- to post-test exams in reading. Enter the number of LT students in At-Risk programs, as applicable.
6 Report the number of LT students with improvement of up to half a grade level from the pre- to post-test exams in reading. Enter the number of LT students in At-Risk programs, as applicable.
7 Report the number of LT students with improvement of half to one full grade level from the pre- to post-test exams in reading. Enter the number of LT students in At-Risk programs, as applicable.
8 Report the number of LT students with improvement of more than one full grade level from the pre- to post-test exams in reading. Enter the number of LT students in At-Risk programs, as applicable.
9 Report the number of LT students who completed pre- and post-test exams in mathematics. Error Message: The number of At-Risk LT students who have completed Mathematics pre- and post-test exams cannot be greater than the total number of At-Risk LT students.

Resolution: The number of LT students who have completed pre- and post-test exams must be a number less than or equal to the number of LT students.

10 Report the number of LT students that tested below grade level upon entry in mathematics. Error Message: The number of At-Risk LT students who have tested below grade level in Mathematics upon entry cannot be greater than the total number of At-Risk LT students.

Resolution: The number of At-Risk Programs LT students who have tested below grade level upon entry must be a number less than or equal to the total number of At-Risk LT students.

11 Report the number of LT students with negative grade level change from the pre- to post-test exams in mathematics. Enter the number of LT students in At-Risk programs, as applicable.

2 Report the number of LT students who completed pre- and post-test results in reading. Error Message: The number of Neglected LT students who have completed Reading pre- and post-test exams cannot be greater than the total number of At-Risk LT students.

Resolution: The number of LT students who have completed pre- and post-test exams must be a number less than or equal to the number of LT students.

3 Report the number of LT students who tested below grade level upon entry in reading. Error Message: The number of Neglected LT students who have tested below grade level in Reading upon entry cannot be greater than the total number of Neglected LT students.

Resolution: The number of Neglected Programs LT students who have tested below grade level upon entry must be a number less than or equal to the total number of Neglected Programs LT students.

4 Report the number of LT students with negative grade level change from the pre- to post-test exams in reading. Enter the number of LT students in Neglected programs, as applicable.

4 Report the number of LT students with negative grade level change from the pre- to post-test exams in reading. Enter the number of LT students in Juvenile Detention programs, as applicable.
