Consolidated Application, Spring Release program instructions for the 2012-13 Title I, Part A, School Class Size Reduction Report.

Data Collection Purpose

The ESEA Act of 2001, Title II, Part A, Section 2123(a)(2)(B) allows LEAs to use ESEA Title II, Part A funds to recruit and hire highly qualified teachers to reduce class size.

This data collection will display if the LEA received Title II, Part A funding.

Procedures

Step	Action	Program Instructions
1	Enter the Total CSR Teacher Count, whole number only.	Enter the number of CSR teachers paid with local, state or federal funds.
2	Enter the ESEA Title II, Part A Funded CSR Teacher Count, whole number only.	Enter the number of CSR teachers paid with Title II, Part A funds. Error Message: The number of teachers funded with Title II funds cannot be greater than the number of teachers in CSR paid with local, state or federal funds. Resolution: Review the number of teachers funded with Title II funds for accuracy and make any necessary adjustment.
3	Enter the ESEA Teacher Count paid with CSR funds who meet the ESEA teacher requirements, whole number only. (How many of the CSR teachers in step 1 are highly qualified.)	For more information, refer to 5 CCR, Education, Division 1. CDE, Subsection 7. ESEA Teacher Requirements. Error Message: The number of teachers funded with CSR funds who meet the ESEA teacher requirements cannot be greater than the number of teachers in CSR paid with local, state or federal funds. Resolution: Review the number of teachers funded with CSR funds who meet the ESEA teacher requirements for accuracy and make any necessary adjustment.
