Instructions: School Student Counts, Projected

Consolidated Application, Spring Release program instructions for the 2017–18 School Student Counts, Projected.
Data Collection Purpose

The purpose of this data collection is to allow the local educational agency (LEA) to select allowable ranking and funding options and to enter school level student data. The information entered will be used to calculate eligibility and ranking for the Title I, Part A Planned School Allocations and/or Economic Impact Aid (EIA) School Funding Plan data collections.

Note: This data collection will not display if the LEA did not apply for Title I, Part A and/or indicate continued participation in EIA on the Application for Funding.
Guidance

School student enrollment should include the number of children enrolled in each school, plus the number in each school attendance area that are not enrolled in public schools (i.e., students in private schools, dropouts). More recent data may be used to update student enrollment provided records are maintained to verify revisions.

If the grade levels of a school have changed, the district or county County-District-School (CDS) coordinators or superintendents must submit updates on the California Department of Education (CDE) Online Public Update for Schools – County District School (OPUS-CDS) Web page. For additional OPUS-CDS instructions, please follow the link.
