Funding DescriptionCaliforniaVolunteers’ goal for the School Turnaround RFA is to award grants to organizations that engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based interventions to increase educational achievement, high school graduation rates and college readiness for students in eligible CA School Improvement Grant schools. Programs must address student needs and align with comprehensive school turnaround plans.

Eligible ApplicantsOrganizations that work to benefit current SIG schools.
Organizations that propose to operate solely in California must apply directly to CaliforniaVolunteers. Organizations that propose to operate in more than one state apply directly to the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). Indian Tribes may apply through CaliforniaVolunteers or directly to CNCS.
