Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education Through Technology (Formula)

This program provides fiscal year 2007-08 formula funding to assist local educational agencies (LEAs) in improving student achievement through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools. The funding supports ongoing, sustained, intensive, and high-quality professional development to integrate advanced technologies into curricula and instruction. NOTE: 2007-08 grant awards are being mailed to LEAs with current technology plans. No application is necessary.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants	Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria	LEAs must be eligible to receive Title I, Part A funding. In addition, applicants must have a technology plan approved by the California Department of Education that meets state guidelines and federal requirements.
Other Eligibility Considerations	LEAs not receiving Title I, Part A funding may participate in the program if they apply in a consortium with an LEA that receives funds under Title I, Part A.

Other	The reviewing regional CTAP office will upload the LEAs technology plan in the cycle period for review, no later than 5:00 p.m. on the following cycle dates: · Cycle A: October 5, 2007 · Cycle B: December 7, 2007 · Cycle C: April 8, 2008 (Non-E-rate plans only) All technology plans must be received on or before the Cycle Submission Date to be considered for that review cycle. Late submissions will not be considered for that cycle. No technology plans will be considered for review this year if received after April 8, 2008. Plans not approved in Cycles A and B will be reviewed in the subsequent cycles.
