IDEA, Part B-619, Preschool

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part B, Section 619 preschool funds must be used to serve or benefit children with disabilities ages three to five.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants	Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria	To receive funds, a local educational agency must submit to the Caifornia Department of Education (CDE) a local plan (application) that contains assurances that are consistent with federal and state laws and regulations.
Other Eligibility Considerations	Districts must account for funds as expenditures for pupils with an individualized education plan (IEP) and for the provisions of the special education and related services required by students with disabilities in order to benefit from a public education.
