Funding Description
Apprenticeship is an on-the-job training and education delivery system. Funding, which is administered through the Principal Apportionment process, supports related and supplementary instruction in local adult education and Regional Occupational Centers and Program (ROC/P) agencies that have apprenticeship programs.Eligibility

Of the total $18,990,000 available, $12,763,000 is available for expenditure in 2007-08, and $6,227,000 is deferred for expenditure in 2008-09. An apprentice program is funded for its actual hours, as reported in the Principal Apportionment Software, or it's approved hours, whichever is less. The 2007-08 funding rate per hour is $5.06. If an apprentice program operates for more hours than its approved amount, the excess hours may be funded if sufficient funds are available. Excess hours may be allocated at a lower rate. |
