School districts and county offices of education are eligible to serve as California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP) regional lead agencies to provide assistance in education technology. The local education agencies selected to serve as the CTAP regional lead agencies will be required to use the program funding to provide a range of technology services, including staff development and technical assistance, to all school districts and county offices within each region. Each of the 11 CTAP regions contains approximately 100 or more school districts. Funding cannot be used to the exclusive benefit of the regional lead agency.

| Required Eligibility Criteria |
County offices of education and districts may apply to serve as the lead for CTAP services. A district or county office must be within the region for which they are applying to serve as a regional lead. In addition, the majority of the work must be completed by and funding must be expended by an LEA within the region and cannot be sub-contracted. |
| Other Eligibility Considerations |
Applicants will be required to provide services to ALL clients in the region in each of the following areas: 1. Professional development and learning resources related to using technology as a tool to improve teaching and learning. 2. Professional development and support related to hardware and telecommunications infrastructure design, implementation, and sustainability. 3. Professional development and support related to using technology as a tool to improve school management, including pupil record keeping and tracking related to pupil instruction and data driven decision making. 4. Funding and coordination with other federal, state, and local programs. |

| Allocation Formula | Each region's estimated maximum CTAP program funding level will be determined as follows: 1) each region will receive a $50,000 base, 2) 10 percent of the remaining funding will be distributed to the 11 regions based upon the number of school districts and county offices in each region and, 3) the remaining funding will be distributed based upon the enrollment within each region based on the prior year's CBEDS. |

Attend quarterly meetings called by the CDE and other meetings as required. 3.
