Focused Monitoring Facilitated Districts

As part of the Quality Assurance Process and Focused Monitoring, funds are available for local assistance grants to improve outcomes for students with disabilities and to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing special education. FY 2008-09 funds will support four continuing facilitated districts and eight Riverside County Achievement Team Plus (RCAT +) regional teams.

Required Eligibility Criteria	Only county offices of education and local education agencies are qualified to receive funding based on existing data, geographic regions, and a commitment to apply requirements and research based practices for students with disabilities. Applicants must be reviewed and approved by the CDE.
