Peer Assistance and Review (Flexible Funds)

Funding Description

Funding for this program is unrestricted pursuant to SBX3 4 (Chapter 12, Statutes of 2009), enacted February 2009. For additional information, please refer to the Action on 2008 and 2009 Budget Acts Web page.

Allocation Formula Funding for this program for fiscal years 2009-10 through 2012-13 will be based on the same relative proportion of funding that the LEAs received in fiscal year 2008-09. For 2009-10, each LEA will receive approximately 5.57 percent less than what is received in 2008-09.

For fiscal year 2008-09, balances for over 50 programs that were unallocated, unexpended, or not liquidated as of June 30, 2009, reverted, and an equivalent amount was appropriated for allocation for fiscal year 2009-10. These funds will be released as 2009-10 funding and may be used to reimburse 2008-09 expenditures. Of the amount shown as available for this program, $5,067,793 is associated with the 2008-09 reversion and $23,926,000 is from the 2009-10 appropriation.
