FY 2011-12 Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP)

The CCIP funds provide contractors assistance in their efforts to increase the availability of quality child care programs in the state.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants	Institutions of higher education, local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations, other organizations or agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria	Applicant contractors must have an executed CCIP contract with the CDE to apply for these funds. For additional detail regarding program eligibility, refer to the Funding Letter and Request for Application. This funding is limited to contractors of The California Child Care Resource and Referral Network.

Allocation Formula	The CDE will award CCIP contractors regionally. To determine which region a county is in, refer to the county breakdown and region award amounts in the Request for Applications Instructions/Application document (click on the Application link below). Award amounts per region are as follows: $20,700 - The Northern region; $56,100 - The Greater Bay Area region; $26,600 The Central Valley region; $86,600 - The Southern region. If more than one applicant applies in a region, the region amount will be divided amongst the applicants in that region.
