Lead Agency for K-12 High Speed Network


Funding Description

This grant is for a lead agency to provide high-speed, high-bandwidth Internet access to county offices, school districts and schools, kindergarten through grade twelve. The lead agency will be responsible for administering the network, as well as providing for the continuation and growth of network services and other support activities.

Required Eligibility Criteria In 2004, the California Department of Education awarded a grant to Imperial County Office of Education to serve as lead agency to provide high-speed, high-bandwidth Internet access to county offices, school districts and schools, kindergarten through grade twelve. The Imperial County Office of Education is responsible for administering the network, as well as providing for the continuation and growth of network services and other support activities.
