FY 2013-14 Facilities Renovation and Repair

Funding Description

Funding supports the repair and the renovation of facilities used to serve state-subsidized families in center-based child care and development programs administered through contracts with the California Department of Education (CDE), and Early Education and Support Division (EESD). These funds provide eligible contractors financial assistance to maintain compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and health and safety requirements in existing licensed facilities.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Institutions of higher education, local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations, other organizations or agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Applicant contractors must have an executed contract with the CDE to provide center-based child care and development services. For additional detail regarding program eligibility, refer to the Funding Letter and Appendix. This funding is limited to primary CDE/EESD child care and development program contractors; subcontractors are not eligible to apply.
Other Eligibility Considerations Matching fund requirements will vary and are based on the percentage of the contractor's adjusted subsidized enrollment in a qualifying contract type.
