Foster Youth Services Core District Programs


Funding Description

The purpose of the Foster Youth Services program is to provide educational and support services to foster children residing in licensed foster homes or county operated juvenile detention facilities. Foster Youth Services Core District programs provide services to support the educational success of foster youths attending school in the respective school districts.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Core Foster Youth Services districts or County Offices of Education specified in California Education Code Section 42920.
Other Eligibility Considerations Ages 4-21.
Eligible Grade Level(s) Pre-K, K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Adult
Eligible Age Level(s) 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, Adult
