Tobacco-Use Prevention: Grades Nine Through Twelve

NOTE: The application due date for this program has passed.

Tobacco-Use Prevention Education (TUPE) funds support health education efforts aimed at the prevention and reduction of tobacco use. TUPE in grades nine through twelve is funded through a competitive application process. Funds are awarded to local educational agencies that propose to replicate scientifically research-proven, effective programs.

Criteria
Local educational agencies must be certified tobacco-free by July 1, 2006. Funding is available to districts, charter schools, consortium leads, and county offices of education that serve students in grades nine through twelve. If your agency is interested in applying for these funds, Attachment 1 of the RFA must be completed and returned to the CDE by November 17, 2006.
