Mathematics and Reading Professional Development (SB 472)
The number of eligible teachers (XLS; 99KB; 20pp) for Senate Bill (SB) 472 training is based on California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS) data. Districts may be reimbursed $2,500 each for the number of teachers listed in the last column who attend 120 hours of training during fiscal year (FY) 2007-08. Further, if funding remains at the end of the fiscal year, the balance will be redirected to LEAs who have trained teachers beyond the 3.16 percent cap. Any remaining shortfall will be granted first priority for funding in the next fiscal year. Charter schools are ineligible for SB 472 funding during FY 2007-08. Funding for mathematics and reading professional development during FY 2007-08 for charter schools is included in the Charter Schools Categorical Block Grant.
