NOTICE OF THE FOURTH RECOVERY OF OVERPAYMENTS FOR THE
KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE THREE CLASS SIZE REDUCTION
PROGRAM FROM THE PRINCIPAL APPORTIONMENT
FISCAL YEAR 2005-06
This recovery of overpayment in the amount of $3,118,089 is made pursuant to California Education Code (EC) Section 52124(d). The overpaid amount to each district or charter school is based on their final entitlement, computed using the final enrollment counts submitted on revised form J-7CSR, as compared to the total amounts paid in the advance, provisional, and final apportionments. In accordance with EC Section 52124(d), overpaid funds will be recovered from the next monthly principal apportionment payment or other apportionment of state funds to the district. The State Controller will deduct this overpayment from the September 2007 principal apportionment payment.
County superintendents of schools are requested to immediately inform each affected district or charter school of the adjustment.
