Dear Mr. Quigley:
The California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to award the Center for Civic Education a one-time grant of $250,000 to implement a middle school and junior high school civic education program as authorized by Item 6110-208-0001 of the Budget Act of 2005 (Chapter 38, Statutes of 2005).
The Center for Civic Education will receive $225,000, which represents 90 percent of the total grant, in four to six weeks. The final payment of $25,000 will be made after the completion of the project, and following CDE’s receipt of the enclosed Project Completion Report.
