NOTICE OF APPORTIONMENT FOR ASSEMBLY BILL 1200
COUNTY OFFICES OF EDUCATION FISCAL OVERSIGHT
FISCAL YEAR 2007-08
This apportionment, in the amount of $5,719,000, is made from funds provided in Schedule (1) of Item 6110-107-0001 of the Budget Act of 2007 (Chapter 171, Statutes of 2007) in support of county offices of education fiscal oversight of school districts, as required by Assembly Bill 1200 (Chapter 1213, Statutes of 1991).
The final entitlement for each local educational agency (LEA) is based on a rate of $0.414992909 per unit of 2006-07 Annual “Other Purpose” average daily attendance (ADA), with minimum funding of $91,504. This apportionment represents full funding for each county office’s 2007-08 entitlement. Funds may be used by county offices of education for activities including, but not limited to, conducting reviews, examinations, and audits of districts and providing at least annual written notifications regarding the fiscal solvency of districts under fiscal distress, pursuant to California Education Code Section 42127.6 or of districts with disapproved budgets or qualified or negative certifications.
Warrants will be mailed to each county treasurer approximately three weeks from the date of this notice. For standardized account code structure (SACS) coding, use Resource Code 0000, Unrestricted Resource, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue.
