Dear Select County Superintendents of Schools, Auditors, and Treasurers:
This apportionment, in the amount of $252,000, has been made from funds provided in Item 6110-107-0001(1) of the Budget Act of 2008 (Chapter 268 and 269) as amended by Senate Bill 4 of the 2009-10 Third Extraordinary Session (SBX3 4) (Chapter 12, Statutes of 2009) for the purpose of funding county offices of education for any new program or higher level of service required by the district oversight provisions of Assembly Bill 1200 (Chapter 1213, Statutes of 1991).
Estimated entitlements for each local educational agency are based on a rate of $0.333853 per unit of 2007-08 Annual “Other Purpose” average daily attendance as certified on February 19, 2009, with minimum funding of $73,792.
This apportionment reflects 100 percent of each county office’s total entitlement less funds previously apportioned. Entitlements were revised to reflect the approximate 15.4 percent reduction in funding that was enacted in Section 34 of SBX3 4. The schedule of apportionment is available on the California Department of Education’s Categorical Programs Web site at http://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/ab1200coeoversght.asp.
Warrants will be mailed to each county treasurer approximately three weeks from the date of this notice. The treasurer of each county shall immediately deposit the amount received to the County School Service Fund of the county superintendent of schools. For standardized account code structure (SACS) coding, use Resource Code 0000, Unrestricted Resource, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Income.
