Executive Summary

The Provisional Apportionment, in the amount of $363,271,578, for the Kindergarten and Grades One through Three Class Size Reduction Program for fiscal year 2012–13 will be certified on February 25, 2013. Pursuant to Section 91 of Senate Bill 1016 (Chapter 38, Statutes of 2012), the attached report was prepared for submission to the Legislature. It shows the data that were used to calculate the amount that will be certified. The entitlements calculated for each school district and charter school equals 55 percent of the fiscal year 2012–13 estimated pupil enrollment counts submitted on the Operations Application, less the amounts already paid in the September 2012 advance apportionment.
