NOTICE OF THE SECOND ADVANCE APPORTIONMENT FOR THE
KINDERGARTEN AND GRADES ONE THROUGH THREE
CLASS SIZE REDUCTION PROGRAM
FISCAL YEAR 2008-09
This apportionment, in the amount of $455,443, is made from funds provided in Item 6110-234-0001 of the Budget Act of 2008 (Chapters 268 and 269, Statutes of 2008, as amended by Senate Bill 4 of the Third Extraordinary Session, Chapter 12, Statutes of 2009) in support of the Kindergarten and Grades One Through Three Class Size Reduction (K-3 CSR) Program.
County superintendents of schools are requested to inform school districts immediately of this apportionment. To view the schedule of apportionment, please visit the California Department of Education K-3 CSR Program Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/k3csr.asp.
In accordance with California Education Code Section 52124(d), the First Recovery of Overpayments was processed on April 13, 2009, and included repayment of the previous advance apportionment from the school districts that participated in the 2007-08 program, but did not apply to participate in 2008-09. This apportionment is restoring the funds recovered from two school districts that submitted an Operation Application to participate in the 2008-09 K-3 CSR Program after the December 22, 2008, deadline.
Warrants will be mailed to each county treasurer approximately four weeks from the date of this Notice. For standardized account code structure coding, use Resource Code 1300, Class Size Reduction, Grades K-3, and Revenue Object Code 8434, Class Size Reduction, Grades K-3.
