2007-08 CALIFORNIA PARTNERSHIP ACADEMIES
IMPLEMENTATION GRANTS
The California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce the availability of funds through the California Partnership Academy (CPA) Program. This funding opportunity is available for up to only 10 full implementation grants.

Please follow the guidelines below when responding to the Request for Application (RFA):
- This RFA is only for comprehensive high schools that have been operating a fully functioning, nonfunded program using the CPA model.
- Applications must demonstrate that all CPA components are or will be operational in all three grade levels (10th, 11th, and 12th). Programs meeting these requirements may apply for $81,000 of funding, based on enrollment of at least 90 students at $900 per qualified student. A site visit verifying program status will be required for this level of funding.
- Scoring will be weighted towards sites not currently supporting an academy other than the program proposed in the application, and that do not receive other grants to support programs of this nature.
- Continuation high schools that cannot provide a cohort of students over three consecutive years in grades 10 through 12 should not apply.
- Charter schools that receive categorical block grant funds are not eligible to apply for a CPA grant.
