NOTICE OF APPORTIONMENT FOR CALWORKS FOR REGIONAL OCCUPATIONAL
CENTERS AND PROGRAMS AND ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS, FISCAL YEAR 2011−12

The State Controller, State Treasurer, State Department of Finance, and select County Superintendents of Schools are hereby notified that an apportionment from the General Fund is made from funds provided in Item 6110-105-0001 (2), Provision 4 and Item 6110-156-0001 (3), Provision 3 of the 2011 Budget Act (Chapter 712, Statutes of 2011).

This apportionment is made for regional occupational centers and programs and adult education programs that provided education and training to prepare CalWORKs adults for entry-level employment, assisted employed adults receiving subsidies or supportive services to advance toward higher employment and self-sufficiency, and directed CalWORKs eligible adults into short-term education and training programs leading to employment.

Please be advised, California Education Code Section 42605 stipulates that the amount authorized for flexibility shall exclude the funding provided for instruction of CalWORKs eligible students. These funds are to be used for CalWORKs eligible adult students only.

Warrants will be drawn on the State Treasury by the State Controller in favor of the County Treasurers as specified on the attached schedule. The County Treasurers are requested to immediately deposit the amount received to the General Fund of the participating local educational agency.

I hereby certify that this is a true and correct statement of apportionment made by me as directed by law. I further certify that this apportionment is in accordance with all applicable provisions of the Budget Act, the California Education Code, California Code of Regulations, and the Constitution of the State of California pertaining to the particular appropriation cited in this document.
