California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)

The CAASPP apportionment funds are unrestricted funds to reimburse local educational agencies (LEA) and charter schools for the costs associated with the CAASPP System that are above and beyond the California Department of Education statewide contract with test contractors. The tests included in the CAASPP System for the 2017–18 test administration were the Smarter Balanced Summative Test, California Science Test (CAST), California Alternate Assessments (CAA) in English Language Arts\Literacy and Mathematics, and the Standards-based Tests in Spanish (STS).
