Funding is provided to reimburse districts and charter schools the costs associated with administering the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE). The CAHSEE is a criterion-referenced examination and, as required by law, is aligned to the California academic content standards in English-language arts and mathematics adopted by the State Board of Education. Approximately 670 local educational agencies administer the CAHSEE on testing dates designated by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.Program Questions: Diane Hernandez, e-mail: dhernand@cde.ca.gov, tel. 916-445-9449
