Facilities Renovation and Repair

Dear Executive and Program Directors:
REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010-11 FACILITIES RENOVATION AND REPAIR FUNDS
The California Department of Education (CDE) anticipates two sources of Facilities Renovation and Repair (FRR) funds for fiscal year (FY) 2010-11. The first of the FRR funds are anticipated from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009; the second FRR funds will be part of the anticipated Governor’s Budget. The FRR funds will provide agencies assistance in their efforts to maintain healthy, safe, and accessible environments for children participating in state-subsidized child care and development programs. The Request for Applications (RFA) outlining all requirements for the FRR funds is included with this letter.
Submit all questions pertaining to this RFA via e-mail at cddrfa@cde.ca.gov no later than November 16, 2009. All questions will be compiled and answers will be e-mailed to all applicants who submitted a question.
The completed FRR application is due in the CDE, Child Development Division by December 14 , 2009, 5 p.m.
