The enclosed California Department of Education (CDE), Child Development Division (CDD), Request for Proposals (RFP) invites submissions for the development and provision of a statewide school-age child development training program. The purpose of the School-Age Child Development Training Project is to (1) establish state level training institutes to train trainers in order to increase quality in school-age child development programs; and (2) have newly trained trainers return to their communities and train local school-age child care providers.
Sole proprietors, partnerships, public or private agencies, unincorporated organizations or associations may submit proposals in response to this RFP. It is anticipated that this contract will begin approximately December 12, 2011, and will end June 30, 2013. The actual start date of the contract is contingent upon approval of the contract by the Department of Education. A maximum of $586,390.00 is available for this project from the Child Care and Development Fund.
The Intent to Submit a Proposal must be received by 4:00 p.m. on September 9, 2011 at the CDE, either via fax 916-445-4871, e-mailed to email@example.com, or mailed to the address noted below. All questions, with the exception of questions regarding the California Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Goals, must be submitted on September 9, 2011 in the manner described in RFP Section 4.5 and must be received no later than 4:00 p.m.
The Technical and Cost Proposals must be received on October 7, 2011, by 2:00 p.m., at CDE. One original and six copies must be submitted, including one copy bearing an original signature. The proposals must be received at the address noted below. Transmission of the proposal by electronic mail (modem/Internet) or fax shall not be accepted. No late proposals will be accepted.
