Title III, Part A, Language Instruction for Immigrant Students


Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

Funding is made available to eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide supplementary programs and services to eligible immigrant students. The purpose of the subgrants is to assist immigrant students to acquire English and achieve grade-level and graduation standards. Note: Recipients and funding amounts are subject to budget and administrative adjustments.

Schedule of the Preliminary Entitlements and Eligibility, FY 2016-17 Preliminary eligibility earmarks for application for funding via Consolidated Application Reporting System (CARS) or Consortia Online Application (COA).

Funding Apportionment Payments Schedule of apportionments.
Cash Management Data Collection System A quarterly Web-based data collection for LEAs to report cash balance data in order to receive their apportionments.

Direct Funded

Document Description
Supplemental Application for New and Expanding Charter Schools, FY 2016-17 E-mail notification of preliminary identification as direct funded eligible for new and expanding charter schools.

CARS Guidance Guidance and instructions for application of funding via the CARS.
General and Program Assurances (DOC) Applicants must certify and accept the assurances as a condition of receiving funding.

Private School

Document Description
Private School Participation Request List Listing of LEAs with private schools requesting to participate in the FY 2016-17 Title III Immigrant Education Student Subgrant Program.
Private School Eligibility List, FY 2016-17 (XLS) Listing of LEAs with private schools that are eligible to request to participate in the Title III Immigrant Education Student Subgrant Program.
Immigrant Education Student Subgrant Program Private School Participation - LEA Letter to LEAs, with one or more private schools, notifying to accept or decline participation in the Title III Immigrant Education Student Subgrant Program.
Private School Participation Letter Letter to eligible private schools with the password to certify to accept or decline participation in the Title III Immigrant Education Student Subgrant Program.
Student Nation Origin Report (SNOR) Submission - Private School Directors Letter to Select Private School Directors providing instructions for submission of their SNOR.
