Title III - LEP Student Subgrant Program


Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

Funding is made available to eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide supplementary programs and services to limited English proficient (LEP) students, known as English learners (ELs). The purpose of the subgrants is to assist EL students to acquire English and achieve grade-level and graduation standards. Note: Recipients and funding amounts are subject to budget and administrative adjustments. Late applicants will be funded based on availability of funds.

Schedule of the Preliminary Entitlements and Eligibility, FY 2014-15 Preliminary entitlements do not consider future changes in data and require application for funding via Consolidated Application Reporting System (CARS) or consortia application.

Supplemental Application for New and Expanding Charter Schools Letter informing LEA of preliminary identification as direct funded eligible for a Title III LEP Student Subgrant in 2014-15.
Funding Application Instruction Letter If you are interested in receiving Title III LEP Student Subgrant Program in 2014-15 funding, you must complete the online CARS application.
Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS) LEAs seeking direct funding for Title III LEP, apply in CARS.

LEP Student Direct Funded General and Program Assurances Applicants that apply must certify that they have read and have accepted the assurances as a condition of receiving funding and a copy of the assurances must be kept on file.
Consortia Application Components
Document Description
Supplemental Application for New and Expanding Charter Schools Letter informing LEA of preliminary identification as consortia eligible for a Title III LEP Student Subgrant in 2014-15.
Consortia Password/PIN Notification Letter (DOC) This letter contains the password local educational agencies use when applying as a consortium for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Title III, Limited English Proficient (LEP) Student Subgrant Program, 2014-15 Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) will be sent via secure email.
