Updates
Assembly Bill (AB) 26 of the First Extraordinary Session (Chapter 5, Statutes of 2011) eliminated Redevelopment Agencies (RDAs) as of October 2011 and reallocates property taxes that were formerly distributed to RDAs to other agencies, including local educational agencies (LEAs). These changes were not incorporated into the Tax Software v2011-11.00. To avoid issues that could occur with an additional software release, please use the following workaround.
School District Data
Report Excess Revenues that will be allocated from the Redevelopment Property Tax Trust Fund on Line A-13, which is titled Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund-Redevelopment Agency Remittances (Health and Safety Code Section 34194.1) in the Taxes entry screen. The original purpose of this line was to report allocations to school districts pursuant to AB 27 of the First Extraordinary Session (Chapter 6, Statutes of 2011), which is no longer needed. The revised purpose of this line is for Redevelopment Property Tax Trust Fund Excess Revenues (Health and Safety Code Section 34188). Ignore the message that pops up when you click on line A-13.
Continue to report pass-through payments that are considered property taxes for purposes of Revenue Limits, on Line A-12, Community Redevelopment Funds.
