- Review the results of the school district survey on early warning systems and their use of chronic absence rates
- Develop plans to prepare the revised School Attendance Review Board Handbook
- Develop plans to promote the Model School Attendance Review Board (SARB) Recognition Program and score applications
- Student attendance implications of SB 614 (Kehoe) of extra 30 days to verify pertussis vaccination
- Collecting accurate dropout data in the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) to inform SARB dropout reduction decisions
- 2012 annual recommendations to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction on statewide guidelines for improving school attendance and reducing dropout rates
