Evaluation

The efficacy of the California School Age Families Education Program is currently being evaluated by the California Department of Education in conjunction with the Branagh Information Group.

Branagh Information Group

Central to this effort is the GradStar software developed by Branagh Information Group for the collection of baseline and ongoing outcomes measurements.

Outcomes being examined include:

  • Decreased repeat pregnancy

  • Student academic progress and graduation

  • Child health and immunization

  • Service delivery and utilization

  • Decreased incidence of low birth weight children

  • Child care utilization

  • Decreased dependence on welfare assistance

Parent/child level data have been collected on over 36,000 expectant and parenting students and over 23,000 children enrolled at one of the over 148 local education agencies statewide.

See the Branagh Information Group (Outside Source) for more information.
